Snails Hill

Dealul Melcilor represents a continuation, in an confessional-subjective key, dedicated to the evolution of industrial landscapes from Brasov, Romania. This time the angular perspective on industrial landscape is replaced with a direct “confrontation”. The installation proposal, through this specific audio-visual format, defines both a private zone and a public zone, being a personal recuperation of the former administrative building, Uzina Tractorul, Brasov. Nowadays the building hosts a call-center, headquarters of a bank and a private university among others. Thus this investigation of the former initial intentions and the sociale role of this production space, together with the further “revitalization”, overlaps with a personal narration, associating this production space with a childhood game.
